Robert Stein is a lawyer who also acts as an FINRA arbitrator.  In February and March 2012, he chaired three arbitrators' meetings during the arbitration in which his husband and I would become plaintiffs together with another couple.  During the process, and in violation of the rules of Finla, Mr. Stein allowed the other party to present evidence that they failed to submit during the discovery process, because this evidence was at the center of the case.  Our lawyer objected to the presentation at the hearing, as this evidence was not presented to us during the discovery process, but Mr. Stein dismissed the objection.  Since the Company did not know the content and evidence that led to the case before the hearing, it was unable to prepare for the argument and was put in an unjust disadvantageous position.

FINRA has very strict rules on the obligations of each party.  Through his actions, Mr. Stein violated the rules of Finra and thus gave us protection to ensure fair hearing for our clients.  I have a testimonial from a lawyer about this case, and his opinion states that there has been an unfair hearing on the plaintiff.  I also have a tape of procedures that can clearly hear the incident.  I would like to share this evidence with you.
