Seattle plans 200 curbside EV charging stations – and you can request one
Seattle will install up to 200 curbside EV charging stations so apartment dwellers and street parkers can plug in closer to home by 2030. Seattle plans to add up to 200 public Level 2 EV charging stations to its public curbside Level 2 charging stations by 2030, with residents being able to request one near their homes or apartments. The move is aimed at neighborhoods with the fewest charging options, particularly for apartment dwellers and those who park on the street. The stations can add around 12–30 miles of range per hour depending on vehicle and equipment. All new locations will be open to the public and will be funded by the transportation levy voters approved in 2024. The first installations are set to begin in fall 2027 and continue through 2030.
