Kenya's Health Ministry has announced the second Ebola death, a 65-year-old woman who was a close relative of the first patient, who died after developing symptoms while in quarantine. The woman began showing symptoms 10 days ago and began receiving supportive care at an infectious disease unit in Nairobi. Despite efforts to save her life, she passed away Friday evening. The remaining seven Ebola patients are receiving treatment at two isolation facilities and no new infections have been reported. Authorities have identified 135 contacts of the original patient, placing 118 in quarantine and eight tested positive while in quarantined, including four health workers and four close family members.
