Seattle-area bank CEO sells suburban home amid execs’ exit to Arizona
Columbia Banking System CEO Clint Stein sold his home in the Seattle suburb of Auburn for a slight profit from its 2023 price. Clint Stein, president and CEO of Columbia Banking System, has sold his home in Auburn, Washington, for $2.45 million, a few years after purchasing it. This move comes as part of the company's executive relocation plans to relocate to Arizona, where it is expected to house up to 50 employees at its new 13,500-square-foot offices near Scottsdale. The home was purchased by Stein and his wife, Julie, from residential developer Wren Holdings for $3.4 million in March 2023. Recent tax increases in the state of Washington projected to cost Columbia Bank an additional $8 million a year. The 4,420-square foot home first came up for sale in May for $1.5 million.
