Sound Transit seeks Construction Manager for underground Alaska Junction Station Sound Transit is seeking a General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) to oversee construction of the underground Alaska Junction Station in West Seattle. The station will be located near the heart of West Seattle's commercial core and will be the terminus for the 3.9-mile West Seattle Link Extension line by 2035. The GC/CM contract package includes major utility relocations, surface and roadway restoration, and site preparation around the junction corridor. The procurement follows several major project milestones, including reaching the 30 percent design milestone and approving key property acquisition and land authorization packages. Early construction work is already underway, with major heavy construction contracts for the project set for award through 2027.
