Ten New Inventions Made in Seattle
We go way beyond AI. Ten new inventions were made in Seattle, including a salmon sponge developed by a high school student and a robot feeding arm developed at the University of Washington. The Assistive dexterous Arm (ADA) was designed to allow people with motor impairments to eat independently and uses a connected web app to drive each meal. The CiviForm Platform, a platform for online applications for government programs like the Seattle Preschool Program or emergency bill assistance, has been successful in the past few years. The robot feeding arms can spear and deliver bites of precut fig pizza, cucumber kimchi, and avocado toast. The City of Seattle has partnered with Google engineers to develop a portal for residents to apply for various government benefit programs.
